This microwave phase-shifter comprises a microwave waveguide including an electro-optical element (1) contained between two elements (3, 4) made of materials having a higher permittivity than the electro-optical element. Means for applying a polarisation electric field make it possible to control the electro-optical element. A microwave line (2) is inserted into the electro-optical element. The orientation control of the molecules in the electro-optical element makes it possible to vary the index of the electro-optical element seen by the field of a microwave.
