The subject of the invention is an installation for treating, and more especially descaling (pickling), a metal strip, comprising a series of tanks (2) filled with a descaling liquid (20), each tank (2) being separated from the adjacent tanks by two partition walls each equipped, at their upper part, with a barrier for supporting the strip (1), this barrier being placed above the level of the liquid (20). According to the invention, each barrier (22) is provided with a support piece (3) bounded by an upwardly convex rounded contact face (4) on which is provided a groove (5) for recovering the liquid, this groove extending along the upper part of the support piece (3), transversely to the running direction and extended, at least at one of its ends, by a return conduit (6) emerging into the upstream tank (2a), the bottom (53) of the groove (5) and the said return conduit (6) being inclined downwards in order to allow natural return to the upstream tank (2a) of the liquid recovered in the groove (5). <IMAGE> |
