The equipment secures cows in stalls, having two horizontal parallel bars in the same plane and extending in the lengthwise direction of the row of stalls. These bars slide in the lengthwise direction so as to manoeuvre a pair of shackling chains engaging behind the head of the animal. The chains cross at the bottom and are anchored near the ground, while at the top the chains are each connecte to a bar. Where they cross, the chains are secured together, and when the abrs are moved in opposite directions the chains also cross above the latter and above the neck of the animal, in a plane in front of the manger.
