Upon being driven over by a vehicle, a pressure rail (3) mounted in a roadway (carriageway) (11) actuates a pressure-spring reservoir (91) which has a detachable latching device (94) and via a hydraulic cylinder/piston arrangement (81) feeds a hydraulic motor (83) which drives an electric generator (10). A second pressure-spring reservoir (92), to which a second hydraulic cylinder/piston arrangement (82) is applied, and a hydraulic-flow valve (84) smooth and extend the feeding of the hydraulic motor. The generator current is used to feed traffic-related electric devices. <IMAGE>
