In a dumper truck (10) with a pair of pivot arms (18) which are coupled to the rear and to whose free ends (20a) a container which is to be transported can be secured by means of a bearing and can be moved around the bearing, with pivoting of the pivot arms (18), around their vehicle-side articulation axle (22) by means of a lifting cylinder (30) or similar energy accumulator towards a loading surface (24) of the dumper truck, two link rods are coupled to the cylinder piston (31) of the lifting cylinder (30), one of which link rods is connected by means of a joint (36) to a fixed point of the dumper truck (10) and the other of which is connected to the pivot arm (18) by means of a joint (38). The link rods are formed by the lower arm (35) and by the upper arm (37) of a knee-joint lever (33) whose knee (32) is coupled to the piston head (31a) of the cylinder piston (31). In addition, a further cylinder/piston unit (26) is arranged as auxillary cylinder between a fixed point (25) of the dumper truck (10) and the pivot arm (18), which auxillary cylinder engages on the pivot arm (18) at a distance from the rotary bearing (22) of the said pivot arm (18) which is larger than the corresponding distance of the coupling point (38) of the knee-joint lever (33). <IMAGE>
