The invention proposes a housing which principally comprises a basic body and a cover part which is connected in one piece to said body via at least one film hinge. For the purpose of providing a housing whose cover part, in order to produce the use position of the housing, is pivoted in a defined manner around specific hinge regions of the at least one film hinge in a specific sequence which ensures the precise arrangement with respect to the basic body, the at least one film hinge exhibits, in the manner of the spine of a book, two defined articulation regions, of which the first articulation region is of a considerably thicker design, and is thus more flexurally rigid, than the second articulation region.
