The invention relates to a pressure relief opening on a container, especially a transport vessel (7), for liquids or gases, the said opening being closed by means of a closure part (4, 6) which can be displaced from the closed poition into the open position. To ensure that the closure part opens after a particular increase in temperature, the invention proposes that the closure part (4, 6) be held in the closed position by means of a fusible holder (3), the fusible holder (3) softening or melting in the event of a certain temperature increase and allowing the opening movement of the closure part (4, 6) under pressure. <IMAGE>
