摘要 Known Peltier batteries are ill-suited because of their design for cooling curved and moving surfaces and, in the case of large-area arrangements, thermally caused mechanical stresses often lead to the destruction of the batteries. Flexible Peltier batteries can, in contrast, be matched well to the most varied surface geometries of objects to be cooled and critical mechanical stresses do not occur on them. Flexible Peltier batteries are constructed by using a plurality of individual Peltier elements, which are dimensioned small in relation to the curvature of the surface to be cooled, the base plates of which Peltier elements are mechanically connected via an at least partially flexible connection, connected in series electrically and in parallel thermally, and the cover plates of which Peltier elements carry a flexible thermal conductor for coupling to more of less any desired shape. The flexible Peltier batteries make it possible to cool various surface structures by the use of thermally conductive printed circuit board sheets with conductive-track structures for electrical connection of the individual Peltier elements.
