A cable clamp is described which allows easy, one-handed fixing of a cable into a plug or appliance. The clamp consists of two parts (10, 12), integral with one another and linked by a pair of spaced, resilient bands (14). As the parts (10, 12) are brought together around a cable, the bands (14) conform around a curved shoulder (24) on the first clamp part (10), thereby guiding a tongue (30) on the second part (12) under a ledge (32) on the first (10) to temporarily retain the clamp parts in their clamping position and bringing a pair of screw holes (34, 36) into alignment. A self-tapping screw may be screwed in to secure the assembly. <IMAGE>
