摘要 It is known for the speed and/or the distance covered by an object moving away over a structured surface, for example a motor vehicle moving over the road, to be measured in a contactless fashion optically by detecting the light backscattered from the surface by means of a sensor fitted on the object as a part of the measuring device. A calibration device for such a measuring device is proposed which comprises an image-displaying device (2) and an image-generating unit (3) which drives the latter. The image-displaying surface (5) of the image-displaying unit can be positioned at a prescribable distance (A) with respect to the photocell (1) of the measuring system. By generating an image of a structured surface which moves at a defined speed over the image-displaying surface, a defined relative movement is simulated between the sensor and the structured surface, as a result of which the measuring system can be calibrated. Use, for example, to calibrate contactless optical devices for speed measurement in motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
