A plate (30) has, on one side, a central face (33) which a conical face (34) adjoins concentrically thereto, whereas, on the opposite side (31), a circular recess (33a) is provided, the diameter (D2) of the plane face (33) being between 20% and 50% of the diameter (D1) of the disc (30), and the diameter of the recess (33a) being smaller than the diameter of the plane face (33). As a result of a shape of this kind, discs can be pushed off in a high-vacuum space by means of a pushing-off device easily and without sticking to the disc located underneath. <IMAGE>
