The size of this apparatus is compact since it has no heat exchanger. This can be done by letting the circulating air contact with a coolant and a damp removal liquid directly. Besides, it does not bring gas leaking problem since it can be operated in atmosphere, to be different from a vacuum type. The air conditioner consists of a vaporizer (1), a damp removal device (2), and a regenerator (3). A liquid heat exchanger (4) and a cooler (5) are installed between the damp removal device and the regenerator. The air supplied via the lower part of the damp removal device contact directly with damp removal liquid through the cooling pipes (6,6') to be dried. The dried air becomes cool by vaporizing the water.
