The invention relates to a coaxial resonator silencer for pipes or ducts flowed through, in particular, by hot gases at high pressures and alternating pressures, having silencing chambers which are arranged concentrically or non-concentrically. The objective is the production of a silencer which is simple to produce and contains no absorber materials which can be destroyed and carried out in the case of high mechanical loadings. By means of the arrangement of a plurality of similar or identical components which form resonator chambers, the action of the coaxial resonator silencer over a broad frequency range is achieved.
