Medical multichannel measuring system with weighting of measured values

Using a number of spatially distributed sensors (12) a medical multichannel measuring system measures at least one physical variable (10) produced by a physiological activity (6) in investigated area. An evaluation unit (18) is connected to a sensor via one measurement channel in each case. From the measured values the evaluation unit (18) simulates at least one characteristic of the physiological activity on the basis of a model. A weighting unit (20) which assigns a weighting factor (Wi) to the measured value transmitted in the measurement channel is located in each measurement channel. The weighting factors (Wi) are determined with the aid of weighting matrices of a neuronal network (30). Moreover, the neuronal network (30) is instructed to display measured values for the at least one characteristic. The weighting matrix comprises values of weighting parameters ( sigma ). The weighting factors (Wi) in the corresponding measurement channels are determined via formation of the means from the values of a weighting parameter ( sigma ) allocated to the measurement channels. <IMAGE>
