摘要 Determinations of this type are required, in particular, for determining the hydrogen content in the atmosphere of safety containers of nuclear power plants, an additional gas which does not condense at room temperature, for example nitrogen, being usually added to the gas mixture. According to the invention, the volume of the additional gas is at least as large as the sum of the volumes of the non-condensable gas components contained in the gas mixture and the water vapour is released from the gas mixture after the admixture of the additional gas by condensing it out of the gas mixture. Only then is a quantitative determination of a specific gas carried out, the thermal conductivity and the paramagnetic susceptibility of the gas to be measured being detected and compared with set values. The method according to the invention can be used to great advantage in the determination of hydrogen components in the containment atmosphere of nuclear power plants after the occurrence of serious faults. <IMAGE>
