A fuel extraction device has a baffle chamber (4), in which a fuel pump (6) is arranged, inside a fuel tank (2). The baffle chamber (4) is designed as a closed chamber, into which a riser pipe (9) with a sucking jet pump (10) leads from below. If no fuel is present in the baffle chamber (4), the fuel pump (6) can generate a negative pressure therein, so that fuel is drawn in by way of the riser pipe (9). <IMAGE>
