The invention provides a DNA coding for a plant-derived ATP-dependent fructose-6-phosphate 1-phosphotransferase, a recombinant vector containing the DNA and capable of expressing a plant-derived ATP-dependent fructose-6-phosphate 1-phosphotransferase in a plant cell, and a method of changing the sugar content of a plant cell at low temperature by transforming a plant with the vector.
