<p>A coordinate input method employing a touch panel (1) having an X-Y coordinate system, the touch panel (1) being of a shape of a rectangle such that a longer side and a shorter side of the rectangle correspond to an X-axis and a Y-axis of the X-Y coordinate system, respectively when the touch panel (1) is placed in a horizontally elongated orientation, coordinate transformation, when a point (P) having a first value (x) and a second value (y) as an X-coordinate and a Y-coordinate in the X-Y coordinate system of the touch panel (1) placed in the horizontally elongated orientation, respectively is inputted to the touch panel (1) placed in a vertically elongated orientation, being performed such that the second value (y) and a difference (a-x) between a dimension (a) of the longer side and the first value (x) are, respectively, used as an X-coordinate and a Y-coordinate of the point (P) in the X-Y coordinate system of the touch panel (1) placed in the vertically elongated orientation.</p> |
