PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity by incorporating a polyvinyl acetal obtd. by the acetal forming reaction of PVA and 5--7-membered ring ketone compd. condensed with an arom. ring into an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by laminating the charge generating layer and charge transfer layer on a conductive base. Inorg. and org. pigments selected from charge generating materials such as selenium and selenium-tellurium are used together with a binder as a resin dispersion layer into said charge generating layer. The polyvinyl acetal obtd. by the acetal forming reaction of PVA and the 5--7-membered ring ketone compd. condensed with the arom. ring is incorporated into such charge generating layer. The resin having the weight average mol.wt. ranging 30,000-150,000 is adequate as the polyvinyl acetal. The degree of acetal formation is preferably in a 50-90mol% range. The charge generating layer is thus improved and the sensitivity is improved. |
