Igniter for an air bag gas generator has an insulated cup (43), with harness supporter (45), contg. a header (47) and an igniting agent (49). The header has a case of conductive metal in which a glass sintered member (59) is charged. A pair of lead electrodes (63,64) is inserted through the glass and header case. A heater member (67) heats the igniting agent and is bridged between the electrodes. One of the lead electrodes (63) is connected to ground. Harnesses (69,70) are electrically connected to the back of the electrodes. |
