PURPOSE:To form the component tooth profile of a formed gear in almost normal tooth profile by using a pair of the dies forming one part of the dies in a mid projecting tooth profile, looking at in the height direction of the tooth, and the other part of dies in a mid-recessed tooth profile, looking at in the height direction of the tooth. CONSTITUTION:The tooth profile 5a at the driving face side of one part of dies 5 is formed in a mid projecting shape by size (a) in the height direction of the tooth for a normal tooth profile 5a', and the other part of die 6 is formed in mid-recessed shape by size (a) at its tooth profile 6a at the driving face side. When a work 7 is rotated with its pinching by such a pair of dies 5, 6, the tooth profile formed with its rolling on the work gear 7 is attained to about a normal tooth profile. Since the gear face of the work gear 7 becoming in mid-projecting shape by the mid-projecting tooth profile 5a of one part of the dies 5 is straightened flat, even if the tooth face of the work gear 7 is made in mid-projecting shape with the mid-recessed tooth profile 6a of the other part of the dies 6, about a normal tooth face is formed on the work gear 7 on the whole. |
