PURPOSE:To shorten a connection time and to relax the mechanical machining accuracy of the periphery of a connection part by embedding a rod lens which is connected to an optical fiber on the side of a repeater circuit in an end surface plate, and mounting the metal-coated outer periphery on the end surface plate airtightly and watertightly by soldering. CONSTITUTION:The fiber 15 on the repeater circuit side and the rod lens A10 which has its outer periphery coated 16 with metal previously are connected and mounted on the end surface plate 5 from a high voltage side. Then, an airtight sealing part 17 is formed by soldering in the gap between the metal coat 16 and end surface plate 5 and an adhesive layer 18 is further provided to fix the rod lens guide A12 to the end surface plate 5 with, for example, an adhesive.On a cable side, on the other hand, a rod lens B11 with outer appearance a little bit smaller than the internal diameter of a rod lens guide B13 and a cable-side fiber 14 are connected mutually and the rod lens guide B13 and rod lens B11 are fixed previously with an adhesive. Thus, the cable is connected optically to the repeater only by simple operation in which the lens guide B13 is inserted into the rod lens guide A12. |
