<p>The water distributor (5) is used with an electrode boiler which has a reservoir. It is connected by a pipe to the bottom of the reservoir (1), by a second pipe to a supply of fresh water (9), and by a third pipe to a water outlet (7) fitted with a drain tap (6). A turbulence chamber (7) forming eddies of water is positioned just ahead of the drain tap. The fresh water inlet is at the same level as the inlet of the drain tap. The turbulence chamber inlet passage which is a slightly converging a chamber with dimensions larger than the diameter of the inlet pipe. The entry is a sharp step that initiates eddies at the lip of the opening. The chamber then curves sharply in a quarter circle, which increases the angular velocity of the eddies.</p> |
