The invention eliminates difficulties in manipulation of a prior screw-type clamp and assures reliability in clamping. A clamping body formed with two concave grooves is pivotally mounted to one end of a holding member by a pin and an auxiliary holding member of an inverse concave shape is pivotally mounted to the other end of the holding member by a pin. A construction for clamping a pipe is such that a square-round window allowing insertion of a step-shaped wedge therethrough is formed in the holding member of an inverse concave shape and the clamping body is covered by the auxiliary holding member to permit the step-shaped wedge to be pressure fitted into the window.
