CARTON BLANK AND CARTON MADE THEREFROM

A carton blank shown defines two panels (1 and 2) for the top and base walls of an assembled carton, with end flaps (3 and 4) which will be overlapped to create a rear wall for the assembled carton. Side flaps (5) also extend from the edges of the main parts (1 and 2) and will be overlapped to form side walls in the assembled carton. Panels (1 and 2) are interconnected by a pair of tear-off strips (6) but the connections to the panels (1 and 2) are perforated as at (7), with a central section (8) being totally cut through. A video cassette can be retained within the assembled carton and the tear-off strips (6) provide a pilfer-proof arrangement so that the cassette cannot be removed from the carton until the strips are torn off.
