PURPOSE:To provide new compounds having absorption bands in the infrared ray region, capable of improving light resistance of an organic pigment, excel lent in solvent solubility and useful as an optical recording medium, etc. CONSTITUTION:Compounds of formula I (A is formula II, etc.; X<-> is an anion; R1-R5 are 1-8C substituents and, at least, one of them is an alkoxyalkyl or an alkynyl). In addition, the compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a compound of formula III with a compound of formula IV, reducing the resultant compound, carrying out selective substitution of the resultant compound of formula V and subsequently oxidizing the obtained alkoxyalkylated or alkynylated compound. |
