PURPOSE:To form an image with the center of a plate material as reference, by setting the reference image forming position measuring the length of the plate material to stop the feeding thereof with the center thereof aligning the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:The length of plate material 2 being fed to an exposure section 5 is measured with a plate material length sensor 31 based on the number of pulses applied to a stepping motor 41. After the front edge of the plate material being fed is detected with a stop sensor 32 provided aligning the optical axis 15 of the exposure section, a half of the number of pulses corresponding to the overall length of the plate material is applied to the motor 41 to stop the plate material at the exposure section while making the center thereof coincide with the optical axis. |
