PURPOSE:To prevent the apparent pattern of a blood stream from varying even though the repeating frequency of ultrasonic pulses, the scroll speed in an M-mode, the display format or the like is change, by incorporating an aspect ratio control means or the like for maintaining the aspect ratio of an element for forming a pattern of a blood stream, at a constant value. CONSTITUTION:The data of a blood stream pattern is taken into a DAC after being scanned and converted by a DSC 13, and is exhibited on a display 15. On this display 15, the data is displayed on a coordinate system having the abscissa on which the time is taken, and the ordinate on which the frequency is taken. The appearance on the abscissa is determined by the number of element with respect to Tr while the appearance on the ordinate is determined the number of elements with respect tot he frequency resolution. Accordingly, if a parameter which affects upon the aspect ratio of an element for forming a blood stream pattern is changed, an aspect ratio control means 16 delivers a control signal to an window processing section 10 and an FET computing section 11 so as to change a window function and a FET data number, and accordingly, the aspect ratio of the element for forming a blood stream pattern is maintained to be constant. With this arrangement, it is possible to restrain apparent variation in blood stream pattern. |
