PURPOSE:To permit high-speed printing to be performed as well as to reduce the weight of armature by a method in which magnetic field passing through an armature formed of a conductive non-magnetic material is directed to the moving direction of a printing wires. CONSTITUTION:During the printing period, electric current is supplied to coils 13A and 13B, and magnetic fields A and B generated are moved to the driving direction of armature. To the coil 13A, current iA, as shown by the solid line, is supplied, and current iB, as shown by the broken line, is supplied to the coil 13B, where magnetic field is moved to the direction shown by double arrow line. Since the armature 11 is made of a conductive nonmagnetic material, swirl flows are generated by varied magnetic fields in the armature 11, and by the magnetic field generated by the swirl flows the armature 11 is turned toward the counterclockwise direction against the force of the plate spring 14 by means of the force to be received by varied magnetic fields. Printing is then made by the printing wires 12. |
