The valve (2) serving for the ventilation of the transmission housing (1) comprises an upper part (3) and a lower part (4). Arranged in the latter is an axial bore (7) opening into the interior of the transmission housing (1) and a longitudinal channel (8) for accommodating an oil filter (9). Formed in a collar-like extension (12) of the lower part (4) there is furthermore a transverse channel (13) which communicates, on the one hand, with the longitudinal channel (8) via an annular channel (a) and a transverse slot (18) and, on the other hand, with an annular gap (b) provided between the lower part (4) and the upper part (3).
