PURPOSE:To assuredly transport paper and prevent jamming of paper by providing a variable paper guide plate positioned within a turning radius of a cutter, and retreating the variable paper guide plate outside of the turning radius of the cutter when the rotary cutter is operated. CONSTITUTION:Paper 13 is drawn out of a paper roll 30 by a paper feed roll 2, and the leading edge of paper goes over cutters 6, 9 by a fixed length corresponding to the preset size to be effectively guided by a fixed buffle 12 and a variable buffle 14. In this arrangement, when the paper is transported backward, the paper feed roll 2 stops feeding paper. Subsequently, the rotary cutter 9, a cam 11 and a cam base 10 start to rotate in a body. At this time, the variable buffle 14, the forward end of which is supported by the cam 11, is pivoted on a shaft 13 not to interfere with the rotary cutter. |
