PURPOSE:To enhance oil resistance and to attain to enhance reliability, by using a specific aromatic compound having two hydroxy groups bonded to a benzene nucleus in adjacent relationship and containing a metal group in a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming layer containing a leuco dye and a coupler as main components is provided to a support. As the coupler, an aromatic compound having two hydroxy groups bonded to a benzene nucleus represented by formula (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or various substituents. In this case, as the substitutents, an ester group, an acyl group, a formyl group, halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and an alkoxy group etc. are designated) is used and a metal compound is contained in the thermal color forming layer. |
