PURPOSE:To expand or contract each envelope polygonal line at a desired rate corresponding to information on the pitch and stress of a musical tone to be generated by providing an envelope generation part which calculates and outputs an envelope according to target level data, inclination data, and a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The specific value RDs is set by referring to information on music generated by a rate data setting and sending part 109, rate selection data S sent out of an ENV data sending part 101, and rate data stored in a rate data storage part 110 and the specific value is sent to the envelope generation part 120. The envelope generation part 120 calculates and outputs the envelope according to the target level data D and inclination data T sent out of the ENV data sending part 101, and the specific value RDs sent out of the rate data sending and setting part 109. Consequently, each envelope polygonal line which is outputted based upon envelope information which is updated sequentially without rewriting the values of the target level data D and inclination data T is expanded or contracted at the desired rate corresponding to the information on the pitch and stress of the musical tone to be generated. |
