<p>In a device for transferring patients, having a mobile frame (10) mounted on rollers (16), a platform (20) arranged in an unsupported manner thereon and a conveyor belt (44) which is adjustable in both directions (30) by means of a drive device and, starting from a first take-up roller (26) mounted in the frame (10) can be wound over the top (34) of the platform (20), around the free lengthwise edge (36) thereof and along the underside (38) of the platform onto a second take-up roller (28) mounted in the frame (10), both take-up rollers (26, 28) are permanently coupled to the drive device (68, 70, 72), rotational play being provided in each case between the take-up rollers (26, 28) and drive device (68, 70, 72).
