The barrel racking stand has a cage-shaped frame which is supported on the ground via one or two bearing axles. The frame has two frame parts (2) which are connected to each other via transverse struts (6). The frame parts are provided with at least partially runner-shaped roll-over bows (3) oriented in the direction of travel. Rollers (7) are placed on the upper longitudinal struts of the frame parts in order to rotate the barrel about the axis and achieve the most favourable racking point. Paddles (18) are fastened to the transverse strut (6) in order to hold the upright barrel. Connected to the frame parts is a collecting trough (11) which is dimensioned such that it can at least approximately receive the entire barrel contents. A lever rod (9) is removably mounted in a connection stub (8). A gripper (10) is located on the rod in order to be able to compensate for the change in height produced when tilting the barrel. <IMAGE>
