PURPOSE:To make the market needs of handleability and the basic specification of a color electrophotograph compartible and to execute high-quality recording with small color slippage because it is the necessary specification of the color electrophotographic device that colors are accurately matched as to the compact color electrophotographic device. CONSTITUTION:Developing means for four colors are horizontally installed at the upper part of an endless-belt-like photoreceptor 14 and the toner images of the respective colors on the photoreceptor 14 are transferred on a transfer drum 40 by bringing the long diameter side of the photoreceptor 14 into contact with the drum 40 on a cylinder and driving the drum 40 with the photoreceptor 14. In order to accurately maintain the color matching of the toner images on the drum 40, an encoder 62 measuring a time required for rotating the drum 40 once when the toner images are transferred on the drum 40, a comparison means comparing the time required for rotating the drum 40 once with a reference time between the respective colors for recording an image electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 14, and a belt motor control means 68 controlling the moving speed of the photoreceptor are provided. |
