<p>PURPOSE: To improve the light collecting ratio of the picture of a color video projecting device using light valves without damaging the uniformity of color and luminance, and to reduce the size of this device. CONSTITUTION: Three light valves are arranged so as to be faced to three faces 5', 6', and 7' of a recombined cube C', and a means for separating a white light flux F into three color beams F1, F2, and F3 is constituted of a separated cube C. Intersecting lines 3 and 3' of processed faces 1 and 2 of the separated cube C and the recombined cube C' are provided on the same line, and the processed faces 1 and 2; 1' and 2' are provided in the same plane. The same reflecting means is provided on the optical path of the three color beams F1, F2, and F3 reaching each light valve outside the separated cube C and the recombined cube C' so that the distance between a white light source S and the light valves can be made mutually equal.</p> |
