PURPOSE:To provide the inexpensive light beam complete group switching device which decreases switching mechanism parts as far as possible, averts the congestion of fibers, is simple in construction and small in size and realizes stable switching operations. CONSTITUTION:This switching device has the first switching mechanism part 4 which is arranged on at least one flank side of an adapter plate 3 for butt connecting many first and second ferrules 32, 33 from both sides of the plate surface, attaches and detaches either of the first and second ferrules to and from a desired connecting port and moves the ferrule in the diametral direction of the adapter plate 3, the second switching mechanism part 5 which clamps either of the first and second ferrules 32, 33 removed from the adapter plate and transfers and receives the ferrule to and from the first switching mechanism part 4, a rotating mechanism part 6 which rotates the adapter plate or the first switching mechanism part 4 in the disposing direction of the many connecting ports and moves either of the first and second ferrules 32, 33 removed from the adapter plate 3 to the desired connecting port position and a control section. |
