PURPOSE:To improve the operability when an object term is retrieved by using 1st and 2nd display means so as to display noted document information and document information closer logically thereby clearing a path of the retrieval of the object term. CONSTITUTION:A program relating to a processing procedure is loaded to a RAM 3 from an external storage device 9 and processed by a CPU 1. Then the user uses a key board 5 to make entry. When a display request of a structure diagram comes, the document structure is analyzed to extract information relating to the structure of a document and the document structure is displayed based thereon. Then the document structure diagram display mode is set ON and the document is displayed so that the position of a noted unit document at present on the document structure diagram is distinguished from the other. When the entry by the user is discriminated to be an inter-document unit movement request, the noted document unit is displayed on the structure diagram and a locus is drawn between the preceding noted document unit, and the newly noted document unit. Thus, it is easily discriminated how the document device is retrieved by any process. |
