摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an anode driving element from having a dielectric breakdown at the time of reproduction discharge by supplying a fine current to an anode group irrelevantly to a current value at the time of main discharge when fine discharge is performed. CONSTITUTION:The reproduction discharge is started at t2 which is 100musec after the timing of the end of a one-frame scan on a cathode group and after its completion, the cathode group begins to be scanned again for the next frame. Then the current which is fine and constant is supplied to all the anodes in the anode group in a period TY of the term of an inverter input in the figure. This fine and constant current is generated by holding the potential VR at the reference potential terminal of the inverter of an anode-side driving circuit at a specific level higher than that in line sequential driving for the period of the reproduction discharge. Then the potential VR at the reference potential terminal of the inverter is put back to the original potential from timing t7 where the reproduction discharge is completed to timing t8, and the line sequential drive is performed again. Consequently, the voltage applied to an anode driving element is reduced almost to a half as high as usual.
