SWITCHING MATRIX, METALLIC PACKAGE, AND SWITCH

PURPOSE:To improve the isolation between input and output terminals, to suppress the deviation of the gain for continuity between arbitrary input and output terminals by specifying the structure of the intersection part of input and output lines. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit part 25 consists of one microwave integrated circuit, and respective parts of input and output lines 2 and 4 are drawn out from the switching circuit part 25 onto the surface of a first dielectric layer 26 in the outer periphery of this part 25. A second dielectric layer 27 is provided on the rear face of the first dielectric layer 26 interposing a ground conductor (shielding body) 16 between them. Since another parts of input and output lines 2 and 4 are shielded from each other by the ground conductor 16 in the intersection of input and output lines in this structure, coupling due to electrostatic capacity does not occur between center conductors of input and output lines 2 and 4. As the result, the isolation between input and output terminals is less degraded to obtain a satisfactory performance though the switching circuit 25 is provided on the same substrate for the purpose of miniaturizing the switching matrix.
