摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the degradation of three-dimensional cross modulation distortion and to eliminate the need of providing a margin in the saturation output of amplifier circuits by controlling the output carrier number of a modulator inputted to an amplifier so as to be reduced corresponding to the fault of the amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION:A fault monitoring means 26 gathers the fault information of the respective amplifier circuits 35-1-35-4 of the amplifier 25 and is provided in a transmission amplifier part 25b for each sector. Further, a conversion station 21 is formed by transmitters 41 and 43 provided with a multiplexing/demultiplexing function, a converter 42, an exchange controller 44 and a base station controller 77. In this case, the converter 42 switches channels and the controller 44 controls the converter 42. Also, the controller 77 performs remote control to equipments inside a radio base station 23 and further, an output carrier number control means 27 is provided in the controller 77. Then, the means 27 controls the output carrier number of the modulator 24 inside the base station 23 based on the fault information of the amplifier circuits gathered by the means 26. Thus, the degradation of the three-dimensional cross modulation distortion is eliminated and power consumption is reduced without providing the margin in the saturation output of the amplifier circuits.
