PURPOSE: To easily control automatic reception in a receiver by adding signal processing data(SPD), indicating a program to a teletext(TX) transmitted simultaneously with broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: A program received by an antenna 1 is converted into a prescribed channel in a frequency conversion stage 2 and is organized into a center antenna signal GAS by an addition circuit 3 and is broadcasted again. A signal source 5 of a local program LOC has a TX generator 52, and a TX edited by a keyboard 53 is inserted to the LOC by a TX inserter 54. A code, indicating a program name, broadcasting standards, a language, a TX page number, etc., is written as SPD in the TX. When receiving the LOC, the receiver stores SPD and automatically selects a proper demodulation mode, based on SPD at the time of tuning to the pertinent channel.
