PURPOSE:To magnify and display easily an image without reducing the number of picture elements in a selected part to be magnified on the infrared image of an object neither changing the position of an infrared camera by scanning a scanning mechanism by centering an indicated coordinate position. CONSTITUTION:A magnifying power is calculated in accordance with the area corresponding to a coordinate address, which is inputted to an address setting circuit 14, to the area of a screen and is inputted to a magnification setting circuit 21. The magnification setting circuit 21 generates a zoom lens driving signal, which positions a zoom lens to the magnification to be set, and controls the zoom ratio of zoom lens mechanism 3 to a required value through a zoom lens driving device 22. Meanwhile, the range of generation of a saw tooth synchronizing signal outputted from a TV sweep signal generating circuit 7 and that of a video signal outputted from an amplifier 5 are synchronized with each other by address information corresponding to a predeterminate position of magnifying inputted to the address setting circuit 14, thereby displaying a required magnified picture. |
