PURPOSE:To connect pictures and sentences without being swayed by a limit by a data capacity while giving priority to a state where the pictures and the sentences can be simultaneously processed even in a system for which the data capacity is small by selectively using the plural pieces of picture connection means depending on operation environments. CONSTITUTION:A control means F controls the kind of the picture to be fetched, a method, a fetching position, etc., corresponding to the instruction of an instruction means E, a method selection means G selects a fetching method from a method storage means H corresponding to the control of the control means F and the method storage means H stores the kind of the method selected by the method selection means G. The picture connection means I and J fetch the contents of a picture storage means D selected by the method selection means G into a sentence storage means B. Then, the control means F judges whether to use the picture connection means I or to use the picture connection means J for the connection of the picture to the sentence by the method selection means G and switches the picture connection means I and J by a judged result. The various kinds of the judgement references of the method selection means G, for instance the free memory capacity of the sentence storage means B, can be considered. |
