PURPOSE:To measure a distance between cars and to perform communication with another vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a controller 40 does not judge a dangerous state, the laser light at distance measuring timing is projected from a laser diode 15. The reflected light of the laser light is received with a photodiode 16. The distance between cars is computed with a distance measuring means based on the received signal and the light projecting timing of the laser light projected from the laser diode 15. Thus, the distance between the cars is measured. When an abnormality judging and processing part 31 detects the laser light at the information-communication timing projected from another vehicle based on the laser light signal received with a photodiode 21, the communication information is identified based on the timing for the information communication. The dangerous state is judged with an abnormality judging and processing part 42 of the controller 40. The laser light at the light receiving timing for the information communication expressing the dangerous state based on the result of judgment is projected. |
