PURPOSE:To provide a method and a device for editing a document capable of moving or copying document to a movement/copying destination with excellent operability by a consistent operation method by a pointing device whether the movement/copying destination is inside or outside the same document editing window. CONSTITUTION:When it is judged that the position of a mouse cursor is present inside the document editing window other than the document editing window of a movement/copying origin (step S104) and it is judged that the document editing window where the cursor is positioned 15 selected as the document editing window of the movement/copying destination (step S105), the document editing window where the cursor is positioned is set as the document editing window of the movement/copying destination (step S106) and the document data for which a range is specified in the document editing window of the movement/copying origin are copied or moved to the document editing window of the movement/copying destination (step S108) by a dragging operation by a mouse (step S107). |
