In a process for preparing sorbents, polysaccharide-containing raw materials are crushed, then subjected to a thermal treatment in the presence of a modifying agent. The purified, dried and crushed solid sorbents are characterized by good sorption properties of heavy metal and radionuclides, as well as other toxic substances, and may be used for example for decontaminating polluted waters and liquid special waste. |
