PURPOSE:To provide a device for gathering an excessive peripheral part of a packaging paper along a longer edge rather than an excessive peripheral part along a shorter edge while forming pleats, in the case of a rectangular object to be packaged. CONSTITUTION:In a annular plate form space which is defined by a shutter case 10 and lid 40, six shutters 20a-20f are contained annularly in a state that the shutters 20a-20f are partially overlapped, and an annular plate form shutter- driving plate 30 is contained. The shutter-driving plate 30 is formed in such a manner that confronted two slits 31a, 31d among six slits 31a-31f may form a slot in approx. the diameter direction. Then, the remaining four slits 31b, 31c, 31e, 31f are formed into an approx. 'L'-shape. When the shutter-driving plate 30 is turned, the shutters 20a-20f swing and changes the shape a through hole A into an oval shape first, and then into a circle, and an excessive peripheral part of a packaging paper which is bent on the side surface of an object to be packaged W is gathered while pleats are being formed. |
