PURPOSE:To provide the construction of an air bag in which a load is not easily applied to a cover hinge even expansion of the air bag. CONSTITUTION:A hook 24 which is supported so that it can proceed and retreat freely both inward or outward and which can be freely engaged with/ disengaged from a through hole 23 formed in a member 6, and a link 26 which is supported so that it can rotate freely around a link hinge 25 serving as a rotational center and whose one end 26a is connected to the hook 24 and whose the other end 26b is located to face the member 6 are provided on the peripheral wall 20 of an air bag housing 3. And an air bag device is constructed with an energizing means 29 by which a hook 24 on one end 26a of the link 26, wound by the link 26, is energized in the direction where it is released from the through hole 23, and a slide plate 31 which is supported by the member 6 so that it can slide freely and which secures engaging force of the hook 24 to the through hole 23 via one end 26a by push-pressing the other end 26b in opposition to the energizing means 29 and which allows the other end 26b to rotate freely by the energizing means 29. |
